About Liston

Claire joined us at South Coast Family Medical Center in October 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Seattle University and began her Nursing Career with the Veteran’s Administration which included the VA Puget Sound Health Care System-Seattle Division, VA Long Beach, and VA San Diego. She then participated in her first medical mission trip to Africa. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at University of San Diego. During her studies she joined her professors on medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic where she was utilized as a mentor to RN students from USD. Her past Nurse Practitioner experience includes caring for the underserved community here in Orange County. She has dual ANCC board certifications in Family Practice and Adult Gerontology Primary Care. Her passion is Primary Care and she seeks to establish therapeutic and collaborative relationships with her patients. She strives to promote health through evidenced based practice and patient education, while empowering patients to take ownership over their health. Her husband is a Captain in the US Marine Corps, currently stationed at Camp Pendleton. They have a Labrador named Cote and they hope to start a family of their own soon!
